With online, people buy what their friends buy. Once a console reaches 10 million WW, it is generally agreed they will have the momentum. I'm not sure at what point in the number of sales that is true for the US, but Sony has to be getting mighty close to it.

I think Sony will have a price drop for holiday season. The ONE will get a boost and may be on near equal footing in US/UK by then. Since this is not technically a price drop, just a new sku, I think we may see a price drop for the ONE as well. It would make me happy, but I doubt it.
Agreed, I only notice when I'm looking for it. I'm never really bothered by it.
The only thing I find might be off-putting is the creepy character modelling. & the guy in first trailer reminds me of Kevin Pereira. *shudders*
No argument. But doubtful Sony is anymore/less than MS; I don't know of a company that doesn't do this. But that's not the issue. MS isn't making bogus claims, guys here are. Then when someone says "Huh?", they are starting an argument or are scared of Windows 8 game on XBox.
Smart money is to not make gross claims that are purely speculative and NOT in the article. That is pure blind fanboyism on the part of many here and misleading.
People are making claims that the article doesn't mention. No where does it mention there will be a flood tide of games coming over to the XBox One from PC. It just seems development costs for doing so will be less. More games, sure, probably. But I'd rather wait for the games before celebrating.

PR first and product later. Unfortunately this isn't just endemic to MS. It is pretty much the same with CG trailers except the wait until it is delivered will be longer. I'd say it will only become relevant five years from now. It will may only be meaningful next gen.
I just hope XBox owners buy the hell out of this game. Insomniac's stock is not as high as it used to be. And they've had a few farts recently. Maybe this is a new start, but I see very little benefit for Insomniac longterm if the game is not a commercial success.

I'd like to see every 3rd game be multiplatform, but I am all for a dev being exclusive if they think it will mean a better game. I just hope Resistance 2&3 didn't sour their relationship with Sony that don't show it some love. I've been leaning toward XBox this gen - love backing an underdog - and would not mind picking this game in a bargain bin if ah buy a XBOne next year.
If it is a success, Sony may change its tune. The IP is owned by Insomniac so maybe we'll get a version in the future.
MS would probably want to have the IP under its ownership, but they are prob'ly trying to bring PS3 owners who like Insomniac games over to the greenside.
I doubt that Sunset Overdrives will have sold under 750,000 by years end. It might not break a mil in year, but it will prob'ly sell over that in a lifetime. Good enough for Insomniac, most likely...!
Titanfall sold wonderfully, not like Halo, but that's a silly expectation to have for every game.

Mm's Morpheus game will be a showstopper if shown. Kill Strain/Syphon Filter will fulfill many a fanboy dreams. Heavenly Sword will too. But 9 frickin' new 1st party IPs alone to show off...! Wow!
Not mutually exclusive. Profits and consumer focus are hand in hand. Which is why I am 100% sure it is a misunderstanding. Sony wouldn't do that.

What is the purpose of an embargo anyway? I'd rather they just tell me as soon as they are sure. I don't need a production like E3 to TELL me things. It is suppose to SHOW me games.
